Acceptable Use Policy for AI-Generated Content | Image to Video
Read the Image to Video rules for prohibited AI-generated content, content moderation, reporting, enforcement, appeals, and underlying AI model disclosure.
Last updated: 2026-09-11
Scope of this policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every prompt, uploaded image, generated or edited image, generated video, account, and other use of Image to Video (the "Service"). It supplements our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to follow this AUP and ensure that anyone using the Service through your account does the same.
Content standards and prohibited categories
You must not use the Service to create, upload, request, edit, promote, or distribute any of the following six categories:
- Sexual or NSFW content. Pornography, explicit nudity, sexual services, fetish content, non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexualized depictions of any person.
- Violence or graphic content. Gore, torture, mutilation, executions, severe injury, sadistic abuse, or content that praises, encourages, or provides instructions for real-world violence.
- Hate speech. Content that attacks, dehumanizes, threatens, or promotes discrimination or violence against people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
- Child sexual abuse material and child-unsafe content (CSAM). Any sexualized, exploitative, grooming-related, abusive, or otherwise unsafe depiction of a minor, including fictional, illustrated, or AI-generated material. This category is subject to zero tolerance.
- Deepfakes and impersonation. Deceptive or non-consensual depictions of a real person; impersonation of a person, brand, or institution; identity fraud; or generated media presented as authentic evidence. Satire or clearly disclosed fictional work must still respect consent, privacy, publicity, and applicable law.
- Copyright or trademark infringement. Content that copies, counterfeits, or misuses protected works, characters, logos, trade dress, or brands, or any input for which you do not hold the required rights and permissions.
Other prohibited uses
You must also not use the Service to facilitate crime, fraud, scams, harassment, privacy invasion, terrorism or violent extremism, weapons development, self-harm encouragement, election manipulation, malware, spam, unauthorized surveillance, evasion of safety controls, or any activity prohibited by applicable law. Do not represent AI-generated output as verified evidence or as human-created when that would mislead others.
Content moderation mechanism
We use a layered process consisting of automated safety controls, human review, and periodic checks:
- Automated checks. Prompts, uploads, outputs, and usage signals may be evaluated by safety controls operated by us or by our AI and infrastructure providers. Checks may include file validation, safety classifiers, abuse-pattern detection, rate controls, and provider policy enforcement. A request or output may be blocked, rejected, or flagged for review.
- Human review. Authorized personnel may review content and relevant account or task information when automated controls flag a risk, a user submits a report, or review is reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or enforcement. Access is limited to information reasonably necessary for the review.
- Periodic checks. We may sample tasks and review abuse trends, repeated violations, and the effectiveness of safety controls. We may update thresholds and procedures as risks, models, and legal requirements change.
Automated systems are not perfect. Passing an automated check does not make content permitted, and users remain responsible for their inputs and outputs.
How to report prohibited content
Report suspected violations to support@imagetovideo.org with the subject Content Safety Report. Include the relevant URL or task identifier, the prohibited category, a concise explanation, and supporting screenshots where available. Do not send illegal material as an attachment; provide only the information necessary for us to locate it.
We handle reports as confidentially as reasonably possible, assess them objectively, and may contact the reporter for clarification. Knowingly false, abusive, or repetitive reports may themselves result in restrictions. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the appropriate child-protection authority first.
Enforcement actions
We consider the severity, context, harm, account history, and legal obligations when deciding an action. Measures may include:
- Rejecting a prompt, upload, or generation request.
- Removing or disabling access to prohibited output.
- Issuing a warning or requiring corrective action.
- Restricting generation limits, features, or model access.
- Temporarily suspending an account while a review is completed.
- Permanently terminating an account for severe, repeated, or deliberate violations.
- Preserving relevant records and reporting suspected illegal activity to providers, rights holders, or competent authorities when required or permitted by law.
CSAM, credible threats, terrorism-related material, and non-consensual sexual deepfakes may result in immediate permanent suspension and reporting without a prior warning. We may also revoke unpaid credits or access obtained through abuse; payment and refund rights required by law remain unaffected.
Appeals
If you believe an enforcement decision was made in error, email support@imagetovideo.org with the subject Content Policy Appeal. Include the account email, relevant task or notice, and the reason you believe the decision should be reconsidered. Where practicable, the appeal will be reviewed by a person who did not make the original decision.
Underlying AI models
The Service's standard configuration uses the following identifiable model families:
- Image generation: FLUX.1 Schnell by Black Forest Labs, Nano Banana / Gemini by Google, and Seedream 4.0 by ByteDance.
- Image-to-video generation: Wan 2.6 Image-to-Video Flash by Alibaba and Kling Video 2.6 Pro by Kuaishou.
Requests are commonly routed through fal.ai; video processing may use Replicate when configured. Models and routing providers may change as the Service evolves. The generator displays the active model name and model identifier for each selectable mode; that runtime disclosure controls if it differs from this summary. Model names identify third-party technology and do not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
Policy updates and contact
We may update this AUP to reflect new features, risks, provider requirements, or law. The date above identifies the current version. For content-safety reports, appeals, or questions about this policy, contact support@imagetovideo.org.
